How Fourdesk Uses AI

Fourdesk uses artificial intelligence to help you analyze charts, review your trading, and reflect on your psychology. This page explains what the AI does, its limits, and how your data is handled. It should be read alongside our Terms, Risk Disclosure, and Privacy Policy.

1. Where AI is used

  • Analyst: reads chart images you upload and produces observations, key levels, and an example trade plan.
  • Coach: summarizes patterns across the trades you have logged.
  • Psychologist: reflects on correlations between your self-reported check-ins and your results.
  • Risk Manager: generates a weekly assessment based on your own rules and logged trades.

The AI model is provided by Anthropic (Claude). Your chart images and the text you enter are sent to Anthropic's API to generate results; under their commercial API terms this data is not used to train their models. See our Privacy Policy for details.

2. What the AI is not

Fourdesk is an educational and organizational tool. Nothing the AI produces is financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any instrument. Trade plans, levels, and insights are illustrations to support your own analysis — not signals to act on.

3. Limitations you should know

  • It can be wrong. AI can misread a chart, miscount, or "hallucinate" details that are not present.
  • It is not deterministic. The same input can produce different outputs.
  • It has no live market data. It only sees what you provide and cannot know real-time prices, news, or your broker conditions.
  • It does not know your full situation. It cannot account for your account size, risk tolerance, or obligations unless you tell it — and even then it is not advice.

4. Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for your trading decisions and their outcomes. Always verify AI output against your own analysis, manage your risk, and consider consulting a qualified, licensed financial professional before trading. Trading carries a significant risk of loss.
